“Practicing the Way” by John Mark Comer
All classes being January 11
The Story
Have you ever wished you understood the Bible's big story?
I love the Bible because it is a sweeping, multi-part saga that tells the story of a broken world and a relentless, loving Creator who will stop at nothing to rescue it! It is far better than the Star Wars or Lord of the Rings sagas. From the spark of creation to the final battle between good and evil, it is a tale of kings and prophets, traitors and heroes, miracles and mysteries—and at the heart of it all, a love story that defies the ages.
On Sunday, January 11, in Room 225, we're starting a new Thrive Class facilitated by me, Ron Cook, called The Story—a study designed for anyone who wants to read Scripture with more clarity and confidence. Together, we'll explore the sweeping narrative from Genesis to Revelation and discover how our everyday lives fit beautifully into God's greater plan. Whether you're brand-new to the Bible or looking for a fresh start, this study will help you fall in love with God's Word and see how every page points to Jesus. Come learn the story—and your place in it. We'll start this exciting journey with a fresh look at the Old Testament from January to June. Then we'll take a summer break and finish with the New Testament from September to December. Please sign up either in the Lobby or directly with me via email (thestory@rcookcoaching.com).
Romans
Beginning in January, join Dr. LaFountain for a 16-week Sunday School study of the Book of Romans in room 121. Together we will walk through Paul’s greatest letter, exploring salvation, grace, and life in Christ. Romans shows us how God’s grace does more than forgive—it renews, reshapes, and transforms us into people who live by the Spirit.
The Teachings of Jesus in Matthew
Jesus came to show us, through His words and actions, what the kingdom of God is all about. During this study, we will examine some of Jesus’ teachings from the book of Matthew. Led by Jim Gulinello and Kevin Redden
